linda jae

Hi there and thanks for checking out my blog! You’ll discover very quickly that I love to have a good laugh! Here I am back in 1968. I was two years old. Susie and I were having a swell time!

Back then, I would go through my grandmother’s drawers in her kitchen every time I visited!

When I was six years old, I knocked out my two front teeth on the driveway, roller skating. Grammy was mad. Mom was mad that I bleached my hair right before my Senior High School picture. She gave me “the silent treatment” for a whole week!

I was a Hairdresser back in the 80’s.  Hence the “extended braid”.

Believe it or not, that’s me on the left! Attending Cosmetology School in 1987 with my friend Darlene. I was a big-haired, bleached blond sun bunny!

I’m in love with my career. Eight years later, still going strong as a Professional Wedding Photographer and  small business owner, thankfully, because of all referrals. I think about my business all the time, constantly fine-tuning! It is a lot of work, but I wouldn’t change a thing-

7 things you didn’t know about Linda Jae…

*My father passed away when I was two years old.

*I was in the restaurant/catering business for seventeen years.

*I don’t know how to text.

*I’ve been back-packing through Europe three times. Mostly by myself!

*I’m a complete homebody and workaholic.

*I lived in NYC for three years, trying to make it as an actress and kept a journal. I went on close to 300 auditions and landed a couple of bit parts here and there.

*When I was thirteen, I won The Led Zeppelin album catalog from a contest on a Classic Rock Radio Station.

COLORS: Apple green, brown and blue.

VACATION SPOTS: Switzerland and anywhere in Europe, really.

MUSIC: The 1970’s, New Wave and Old School Punk Rock, the 1940’s and Led Zeppelin? Satellite Radio is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

TV SHOWS:  Project Runway, Holmes on Holmes, American Pickers, Pawn Stars, Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, My Fair Wedding, Say Yes to the Dress, How It’s Made, Suze Orman Show, and anything on HGTV. I love television!

FILMS: Love independent and foreign films. Also, Edward Scissorhands, Shawshank Redemption, Funny Face, School of Rock and The Shining.

ACTORS: Audrey Hepburn, Meryl Streep, Javier Bardem, Christian Bale, Sean Penn, Johnny Depp and Robert Downey Jr.

FOODS: The “three C’s”- chocolate, coffee and cheese.  Healthy foods too. I am known for my homemade, “signature sandwiches”. Red wine is fine too. I also love avocados, corn and milk.

YES!:  Genuine people who are sincere, fun and have a zest for life. People who take the time to “stop to smell the roses”.  I like anything unusual, wacky and unique. Vintage and Retro too.

NO!: Liars, bullies and self-centered, phony people. Also, people who are “furiously” in a hurry. With everything. Yet, no reply, right?!

GUILTY PLEASURES: Reading tabloid mags at the gym, taking an afternoon nap and snacking in front of the fridge, while the door is open (I know, bad habit).

LOVES: My Morgan. Mom too!

HOBBIES:  Going to the gym, Yoga, people watching (their life stories fascinate me), eating, going to yard sales/ consignment shops/ flea markets and going to the movies.

Morgan is such a talented musician. He is a Jazz Pianist and plays in three different Jazz bands. He also teaches both guitar and piano to students…

I guess this is a “rock-star” gesture-

Thank you for being you-

When you find your “soul-mate” (I know, I know, it sounds corny). However, when you do, you just know. If your partner is your best friend along with being your lover, your relationship WILL last a lifetime. And what can I say, he “gets” me. And I just have to mention one of my other “best friends”-

My mom;  “Mom, I could never, ever thank you enough. You have been there every step of the way for me. Words can not describe how much I love you and how proud I am to have you as my mother and my best friend. Thank you”…

I have been blessed to have had two amazing cats in my life: Boozy and Mr. Dee Dees. They will always, always be in my heart and thoughts. My boys…

Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you…Ollie-
