Last year was difficult. I lost my two buddies; Mr. Dee Dees and Boozy-

Mr. Dee Dees was “The King of Bitterness”. He was fat, he was grumpy. He would play “cutesy” when it was mealtime. He was 14 years old when he developed a servere case of diabetes. It was a hard decision, but I thought it would be best to let him go. That was last November 11th. Then-

My best buddy in the whole world, Boozy got sick. I couldn’t believe it. He just stopped eating. It turned out that he had a large, cancerous tumor in his stomach. It was too late to operate. There was nothing that could be done and it was devestating. I lost Boozy last December 8th-

Two fine boys, who were inseparable. Suddenly, I lost both of them within a month. Right before the holidays. Looking back at pictures, I can now see how sick they both looked, but I had no idea. I know, I know, you’re probably getting teary-eyed. So am I as I write this. There IS a happy ending, I promise. Wait, lets get some tissues and continue-

Last Christmas was pretty much a blur for me. How could I lose BOTH my boys?! I needed a break. I didn’t even want to think about getting another cat. THEN, one April day, I looked at Morgan and said “lets go to the shelter, I’m ready”. Low and behold I brought home this terror of a cat…

Mr. Bubbles

Mr. Bubbles, a three year old ferral cat, was found at a Laundrymat and placed in a shelter. He was a demon kitty. Just look at his expression! We brought Mr. Bubbles home and he would be sweet one minute, then out of nowhere, bite us. He was crazy. Crazy. My experience with Mr. Bubbles lasted a short two hours. Then, he went back to the shelter. I guess there wasn’t a connection-

Boy, I needed a break after that. Was I ready for another pet? Or were things ok just the way they were? Afterall, no one compares to the two lil’ guys.

Morgan and I were in Natick one day a few weeks ago and stopped into Pet World. Just to look. There were about 20 cats up for adoption. I thought I might want a small kitten. There was one cat that stuck his paw out of the cage and tapped Morgan on the shoulder. I kid you not. We visited with this cat for a good 45 minutes and fell in love with him. Afterall, he chose us.  Here, I present to you… OLLIE:

How goofy is Ollie?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look at the lop-sided markings. Isn’t he a scream?!! He is two-years old and such a sweetie. Funny, he has alot of the same personality as my buddy Boozy had. Lets look at some more pix!

Ollie is such a sweet cat. He is gentle, lovable and playful. He doesn’t really get into much, uses he scratching post and is well-behaved. He is so affectionate. He is really a joy to have in our lives. I’m a firm believer in the “timing” of things-

Ollie enjoys watching HGTV and late-night snacking-

When Ollie is sleeping you can’t see the outline of his eyes because of all the black!! I hope I brought a smile to your face. Pets are such an important part of our families. 1. Linda,

I am so sorry to hear that you lost your kitties last year. They were handsome boys. I am grateful that Ollie spotted great kitty parents at Pet World and adopted you!

    • Hi Kayla! Thanks so much for your kind words. We have never met, but it is comforting to know how much people love animals!
